GarGeon × CCL Impex

CCL Impex recycles more because every weight is now checkable.

A vegetable wholesaler was being paid a rebate against a tonnage nobody could verify. With record-by-record proof, recovery rose from 1-2 tonnes a month to 5-6 — and the rebate rose with it.

The Company

CCL Impex

CCL Impex is a vegetable wholesaler moving fresh produce in volume, with all the packaging and organic waste that comes with it.

High-turnover wholesale produces a steady stream of recyclable cardboard and plastic alongside general waste. The difference between the two is worth real money — but only if you can measure it.

Before & After

The problem, and what we did about it.

Before GarGeon

A rebate against a tonnage nobody could check

The previous recycler paid RM800-1,000 a month against roughly 1-2 tonnes. Where that tonnage came from was never visible to CCL Impex.

A summary, not a record

The vendor reported one total weight for the month. With no line for each collection, there was nothing to audit against.

General waste on a manual delivery order

Paper DOs meant no way to see which day or which stream was driving the bill. The cost simply stayed flat, month after month.

With GarGeon

Every collection on the record

GarGeon Connect logs each collection with its own weight and photo proof, so CCL Impex audits line by line instead of trusting a monthly total.

Recycling that reflects what is actually there

With recyclables separated at source and weighed honestly, recovered volume rose from 1-2 tonnes a month to 5-6 tonnes.

Rebates that follow the real tonnage

Because the weight is on the record, the monthly rebate moved from RM800-1,000 to RM1,500-2,500.

General waste the team can explain

We walked CCL Impex through where the general-waste spend actually goes and why. It reads as a decision now, not a fixed line on an invoice.

The Results

What changed on the ground.

More material recovered

Recycling recovery rose from 1-2 tonnes a month to 5-6 tonnes — the same operation, measured properly.

A bigger monthly rebate

The rebate moved from RM800-1,000 to RM1,500-2,500 a month, tracking real tonnage instead of a vendor estimate.

Records that survive an audit

Every collection carries its own weight, timestamp and proof. No summary figures, no gaps, nothing to take on trust.

Spend the finance team can explain

CCL Impex knows what the general-waste bill covers and can point to the collections behind every ringgit of it.

What’s next

Next, CCL Impex is looking at separating more of the stream at source — every tonne that moves out of general waste is a tonne that earns instead of costs.

More Malaysian operators put their results on the record.

Different industries, same contract — and each one can prove it.
