MLF Ingredients replaced handwritten weight tickets with a live record.
Collection details were logged by hand, which held up the monthly invoice and made auditing painful. Now every collection and weight ticket updates in real time.
MLF Ingredients
MLF Ingredients Sdn. Bhd. runs a processing plant in Pekan Nenas, Johor, taking food by-products from factories and turning them into animal feed and organic fertiliser.
Recovering value from material that would otherwise be thrown away is the business. But its own waste ran on manual delivery orders and handwritten weight tickets, which sat awkwardly next to everything else the plant records properly.

The problem, and what we did about it.
Service reliability issues
Collections could not be relied on to happen when they were supposed to, and the plant absorbed the consequences.
Everything recorded by hand
Collection details and waste figures were written up manually, which regularly delayed the billing invoice at month end.
No real-time visibility
Without live updates, the team chased vendors for information that should already have existed.
Manual DOs are hard to audit
Reconciling handwritten tickets against an invoice meant paper, patience, and a fair amount of trust.
The full collection process in one system
GarGeon Connect covers the process from the request through to the completed collection, so nothing depends on someone remembering to write it down.
Weight tickets captured digitally
Weights are recorded at collection and appear in the system immediately — no handwriting, no re-keying, no waiting for the paperwork to arrive.
Real-time updates
The team sees each collection as it happens instead of following up to find out whether it did.
Billing that reconciles itself
Because the record is complete before the invoice is raised, billing and audit both work from the same data.
What changed on the ground.
A streamlined operation
Collection, weighing and recording run as one flow rather than three disconnected steps.
Billing without the month-end scramble
Invoices no longer wait on manual write-ups, so finance closes the month on time.
An audit trail that already exists
Every collection and weight is in the system when it happens, which makes an audit a matter of exporting rather than reconstructing.
Fewer manual follow-ups
The plant team spends noticeably less time chasing vendors for information the system now shows them directly.
With clean data flowing, the next step is using it — reading the waste patterns at the plant to right-size collection frequency.
More Malaysian operators put their results on the record.
Different industries, same contract — and each one can prove it.
